Jeffrey Hawkins is Vice President of Investor Relations at MCA Realty, where he is responsible for capital raising and capital formation initiatives, strengthening investor relationships, marketing and communicating the firm’s investment strategy across its commercial real estate platform.
Mr. Hawkins brings more than 25 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, capital markets, strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. Over the course of his career, he has advised private real estate companies, public REITs, institutional investors and real estate sponsors on a broad range of strategic and entity-level transactions, including commingled funds, programmatic joint ventures, recapitalizations, structured debt and equity transactions and other capital solutions.
Prior to joining MCA Realty, Mr. Hawkins was founder and owner of Double Peak Advisors, an independent advisory firm providing investment banking services in the commercial real estate industry. Before Double Peak Advisors, Mr. Hawkins was a Managing Director at The CenterCap Group and a Managing Director on JLL’s M&A and Corporate Advisory team. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hawkins worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. and in mergers and acquisitions at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Mr. Hawkins holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
